Our mission
Joining Hands is a program that builds bridges of solidarity between coalitions of churches in the United States and networks of overseas churches, grassroots groups and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs). The focus of this program is to address the inequities and suffering resulting from the spread of globalization, through community education, advocacy, alternative economic activities, lifestyle changes and spiritual grounding. It aims at restoring the wholeness of God's creation and the healing of the human family across faiths, races and cultures through prayer, mutual visits, humble accompaniment, repentance and mutual transformation. Joining Hands is an initiative of the Presbyterian Hunger Program.
Des Moines/Egypt
The Presbytery of Des Moines has a Joining Hands relationship with Egypt.
In September, two representatives of Egypt's Together for Family Development will visit the presbytery. TFD's initiative this year is women-led households.

MacDuff Clan would like to extend a challenge to all our fellow clans at Trinity. MacDuff has registered a team of eight for the Meals from the Heartland packaging event at Hy-Vee Hall September 2-5. We challenge you to put together a larger team, or to package more meals than MacDuff.
Church Presbyterian Women will meet on September 8 in the Fellowship Hall at 9:30. Sandy Denning will be our hostess. Dave, our pastor, will be presenting lesson number one "An Apocalypse, an Author, and a Witness" from the 2010-2011 Horizons Bible Study "Journeys Through Revelation Apocalyptic Hope for Today". This should be a very interesting study. Lesson books will be available on September 8. All women of Trinity are welcome and we're always happy to have new people join our group. Hope to see you there.
Sunday, September 12, Come early (8:30 am) for breakfast, Session is cooking! Donations will go toward signage around our buildings.
